John Hines (professor archeologie aan de Cardiff University) en Nelleke IJssennagger (curator van archeologische en middeleeuwse collecties bij het Fries Museum) presenteren hun nieuwe boek 'Frisians and their North Sea Neighbours. From the fifth century to the Viking Age.'.

Tijdens de boekpresentatie wordt kort teruggeblikt op het succesvolle congres 'Across the North Sea. North Sea Connections from 400 AD into the Viking Age' dat in 2014 plaats vond in het Fries Museum.. De meest spraakmakende en representatieve voordrachten op het symposium zijn door John Hines en Nelleke IJssennagger gebundeld in de publicatie: 'Frisians and their North Sea Neighbours. From the fifth century to the Viking Age.'

Hiermee bevat het boek de meest recente onderzoeken op gebied van archeologie, geschiedenis, taalkunde en runologie van de vroegmiddeleeuwse Friezen en het Noordzeegebied.
